At UAB Medical West’s GI Lab, patients can receive a full range of screening and diagnostic procedures. We perform traditional GI lab procedures, such as colonoscopies and advanced endoscopy treatments.
We understand that waiting for test results and diagnostics can be nerve-wracking. We work tirelessly to ensure that you get your information as quickly as possible to provide peace of mind and so that we can start planning our course of action. Our facility can serve our patients efficiently and comfortably with 11 pre/post-operative rooms and four procedure rooms. Additionally, with newly updated waiting rooms, we can ensure your comfort during routine procedures and perhaps some overwhelming situations too.

All UAB Medical West Endoscopy procedures are performed using new, state-of-the-art technology. This allows our physicians to establish an accurate patient diagnosis and to perform under the best conditions.
